Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani received newly-appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain Reethisri Wijeratne Mendis, who submitted a copy of her Credentials on 6 February 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain.
Minister Al Zayani commended the strong relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and welcomed the growing relations across all fields.
Ambassador Mendis conveyed warm wishes for the prosperity and progress of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and affirmed Sri Lanka's commitment to furthering bilateral cooperation.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Asian and Pacific Affairs Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen.
