Sri Lankan Ambassador in Bahrain addresses the Ramadan Ambassador Council Programme

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain Reethisri Wijeratne Mendis was invited to the "Ramadan Ambassador Council" programme, organized by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for the Diplomatic Studies (MBMA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain on 28 March 2024.

The session was moderated by the Director-General of the  Academy Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.

Ambassador Reethisri Wijeratne Mendis during her presentation deliberated on the historical ties between Bahrain and Sri Lanka, highlighting the progress made by two countries. She also acknowledged Bahrain's role in combating COVID-19 and expressed hopes for future collaboration. The Ambassador spoke on Sri Lanka's foreign policy, her career journey, and her experiences in diplomacy and the importance of communication and technology in international relations.

Ambassador Mendis expressed her deep gratitude to the MBMA for organizing this program, and providing her with the opportunity to participate in it.

In her concluding remarks Dr. Shaikha Muneera expressed her sincere gratitude to Ambassador Reethisri Wijeratne Mendis for her valuable contribution. She further stated that the MBMA is looking forward for further collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bahrain.
