Sri Lankan Doctors Conduct Free Medical Camp For Stranded Sri Lankan Migrant Workers

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kuwait organized a medical camp, in association with the Sri Lankan medical professionals residing in Kuwait, at the Embassy premises on 11 October 2019, for the benefit of the female migrant workers sheltered at the Embassy safe house.

Dr. A.H.B. Hasan and Dr. M.H.Samsuna examined 60 migrant workers and prescribed medicines. The services rendered included free medical consultation, cardiology screening, orthopedic consultation, and dietary advice. Free medications were also provided.

The Embassy organizes free medical camps on a regular basis, especially for the migrant workers who are not eligible to receive medical treatments at Kuwaiti hospitals.

Dr. M.A.M. Jaseem and Dr. M.U.L.M. Nawras treated patients at the medical camps held previously. First Secretary of the Embassy Anoma Ramanayake coordinated with the doctors in organizing the medical camps.
