The Ministry of Foreign Affairs successfully conducted a briefing session on Diplomatic Practice for a group of 25 officers from the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation on 17 February 2023 at the ministry.
The briefing comprised a number of interactive sessions including an introduction to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, and the role and functions of the Protocol and Public Diplomacy Divisions of the Foreign Ministry.
Senior officials of the ministry with expertise and experience in diplomatic practice participated in the programme as resource persons.
The briefing was inaugurated with welcome remarks by Director General O.L. Ameer Ajwad and opening remarks by Additional Secretary Shanika Dissanayake of the Foreign Ministry as well as Chairman of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation W.B. Ganegala.
