The Ugandan President was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Presidential Secretariat on the morning of 13th November which included a Guard of Honour and a 21 gun salute.

Sri Lankan fishing vessel “Proboda Putha” toppled in the deep sea approx 470 NM West of Chennai and 290 NM East of Port Blair (Anandaman and Nicobar island) on 10 th November 2012. A Sri Lankan fishing vessel in the vicinity rescued three crew members but one fisherman has not been found.
