ඔබ සියලු දෙනාටම සුභ සන්ධ්‍යාවක් වේවා!
ගෞරවනීය සභාපති තුමනි,
සියලුම රාජ්‍ය නායකයිනි,
එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ සංවිධානයේ ගෞරවනීය මහ ලේකම් තුමනි,
සියලුම ආරාධිත අමුත්තනි,
මා ඉතාමත්ම සතුටු වෙනවා 72 වන සමුළුවේ විශේෂයෙන්ම නව ලේකම් වරයෙක්, මහ ලේකම් තුමෙක් පත්වූ අවස්ථාවේ එතුමාට සුභ පතමින් මගේ කතාව ආරම්භ කිරීමට ලැබීම පිළිබඳව. විශේෂයෙන්ම ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ රාජ්‍ය නායකයා ලෙස තුන්වන වරටත් මේ ගරු සභාව ඇමතීමට ලැබීම පිළිබඳව මා ඉතාමත් සතුටු වෙනවා.
