The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jakarta explores possible collaboration with Universitas Budi Luhur

The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Indonesia  Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage, accompanied by the Second Secretary (Commercial) and Public Diplomacy Officer of the Embassy visited Universitas Budi Luhur (UBL) on 24 March 2023 to explore possible collaboration between Sri Lanka and Universitas Budi Luhur in the educational sector.

Rector of the UBL Dr. Ir. Wendi Usino invited the Ambassador for a public lecture, proposed student and academic exchanges with a Sri Lankan university and a study visit to the Embassy of Sri Lanka. The Ambassador highlighted the potential collaboration with NSBM Green University of Sri Lanka, cultural exchanges, and knowledge sharing on the electric vehicle industry and robotics.

The UBL was founded in 1979 and is currently ranked 234 among the universities around the world. This University is included in the 100 best campuses of Indonesia in the Webometrics Rank 2022 version.

The Ambassador also had the chance to visit UBL’s Waste Bank and learn about the green initiatives that UBL has been working on.
