At the invitation of the Rev. Fr. Canisius Raj Felix , the Head Priest of Our Lady Fatima Tamil Catholic Chaplaincy, the Consul General and staff of the Consulate General of Sri Lanka attended the Special Mass of the Church conducted by the Rt. Re. Bishop of Jaffna on 28 May 2023. This Mass was attended by more than 2,000 Tamil Catholic devotees in the Greater Toronto Area.
Our Lady of Fatima Tamil Chaplaincy was erected by the Archdiocese of Toronto 1 May 2021. It serves all the Catholic devotees who live in West, Toronto and functions at the Our Lady of the Airways in Mississauga.
It gave an opportunity for the staff of the Consulate General to meet with the Sri Lankan community members.
