On behalf of the Government and People of India, I express my deepest condolences on the tragic loss of lives and injury to the victims of horrific terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka on 21 April 2019.  Our thoughts and prayers are with family members of the deceased.  We pray for speedy recovery of the injured.  Targeting religious places during religious festivities make these terrorist attacks even more reprehensible.  We condemn them in the strongest terms.

We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Sri Lanka at this difficult time, including rending any assistance that may be required.
