Governor of Ankara, Vasip Şahin, the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony of the EXPO Travel Ankara Travel Fair 2019 highly commended Sri Lanka’s participation at the fair and said Sri Lanka’s stand was the most eye catching and the star attraction. The Governor of Ankara, Vasip Şahin, ruling AK party Ankara Member of Parliament Nevzat Ceylan, Deputy Metropolitan Mayor of Ankara Sercan Çığğın, CEO of ATIS Fairs Bilgin Aygül along with Ambassador M. Rizvi Hassen unveiled the Sri Lanka pavilion amidst of magul bera.
The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau in Collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Turkey participated at the 04th Edition of EXPO Travel Ankara travel fair which was held at Ankara Congressium from 14 -17 November 2019. The prominent Sri Lankan travel companies, Jetwing Travels, BOC Travels and Figo Travels participated at the fair.
The Vice Minister of Tourism, Mr. Nadir Alpaslan and President of the Chamber of Commerce of Ankara Mr. Gursel Baran were amongst the guests who visited the Sri Lankan pavilion. Hundreds of travel trade representatives, airline representatives and business community in Ankara visited the Sri Lanka pavilion. The visitors to the Sri Lanka pavilion admired the beauty of Sri Lanka’s presentation.
