The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Karachi facilitated a high-level delegation led by Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Akif Saeed to participate in the Invest Sri Lanka Capital Market Investor Forum held at Shangri-La Colombo, from 27 to 28 March 2025.
Jointly organized by the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC), the Capital Market Investor Forum served as a platform to explore investment opportunities and foster regional cooperation in the capital markets sector.
Chairman Akif Saeed contributed as a distinguished panelist during the session titled "Navigating Frontier Capital Markets", where he shared valuable insights into the emerging trends and the importance of cross-border dialogue in the evolving financial landscape of the region.
A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) among the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), and Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). This landmark agreement reflects a shared commitment to enhanced collaboration, information exchange, and the pursuit of opportunities that are mutually beneficial for the three parties.
