Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to UNESCO, Professor Karunaratne Hangawatte was unanimously elected as a Vice President of the 37 th session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at the inaugural plenary session on 5 th November 2013 in Paris.
