Two Sri Lankans win the prestigious Queen’s Young Leaders (QYL) Award
Actg. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon Ajith P. Perera felicitated two young Sri Lankan achievers – Mr. Thejitha Saubhagya Edirisinghe and Ms. Kavindya Thennakoon – at a meeting today (19 June 2015) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They are among the sixty winners of the Queen’s Young Leaders (QYL) programme 2015 from Commonwealth countries.
Foreign Ministry marks Poson with ‘Bakthi Gee Programme’ organized by the Sri Lanka Foreign Service Association
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated the sacred Poson Poya with a ‘Poson Bakthi Gee Programme’ organized by the Sri Lanka Foreign Service Association (SLFSA) on Wednesday 10th June 2015 at its Main Conference Hall, with the participation of all staff. The ‘Poson Bakthi Gee’ Choir comprised members of the SLFSA.

Handing Over of Dual Citizenship Certificates
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Ministry of Public Order & Christian Religious Affairs jointly handed over Dual Citizenship Certificates to recipients at the Foreign Ministry main conference hall today, 11 June 2015 at 10.00 a.m.
Minister Samaraweera to Visit Japan
Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Foreign Affairs will visit Japan from 17 to 20 June as a Guest of Hon. Fumio Kishida, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.
During the visit, Minister Samaraweera will hold bilateral discussions with Minister Kishida on issues of mutual interest including promoting cooperation in the political, economic and cultural spheres, in regional and multilateral fora, and in the reconciliation process in Sri Lanka.
