Buddha Purnima celebrations by the Young Men’s Buddhist Association in New Delhi

The Young Men’s Buddhist Association in New Delhi (YMBA) commemorated the Buddha Purnima at the National Museum in New Delhi on 18th May 2019 with the participation of High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in India, HE Austin Fernando as the Chief Guest.  A prayer meeting was held in the presence of the holy relics of the Lord Buddha at the National Museum as part of the programme. A large number of Buddhists gathered in this meeting.

The High Commissioner, speaking at this event, underscored the necessity of living according to the eight noble paths, emphasised the importance of considering Buddhism as a philosophy and a way of life.

President of the YMBA, Ven. Panyadeepa, General Secretary of the YMBA Ravi Bhardwaj, and Members of the Executive Body of the YMBA in New Delhi staff of the High Commission and the Sri Lankan community in New Delhi participated at this event.
