The Bishop of Trincomalee, Christian Noel Emmanuel visited the Embassy on 11 December 2025 and met with the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Poland, Priyangika Dharmasena. His visit aimed to understand the needs of the Sri Lankan Catholic community while also experiencing Poland’s spiritual growth through meetings with clergy and visits to shrines.
After the exchange of general courtesies, Ambassador Dharmasena and Bishop Emmanuel briefly discussed the devastation caused by “Cyclone Ditwah”, the togetherness of the nation in such a critical period, the assistance provided by the international community, including Poland’s support through the EU Framework.
