Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Indonesia Admiral Professor Jayanath Colombage met Kevin Wu, Indonesia’s businessman and an official from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a reputed application developer on tourism at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jakarta on 16 June 2023. The meeting focused on cooperation in trade, tourism and investments between Sri Lanka and Indonesia which are mutually beneficial.
While explaining the favorable situation prevailing in Sri Lanka for economic opportunities, the Ambassador explored the possible avenues to promote Sri Lanka tourism for Indonesian citizens, especially as a Buddhist tourist destination and a place for precious gems and products. The ambassador also presented the diverse tourism prospects that Sri Lanka offers such as Buddhist tourist destinations, historical sites, pristine beaches, places for shopping and popular Sri Lankan cuisines.
