Actg. High Commissioner in Pretoria Priyangani Hewarathna spoke on Business Opportunities in Sri Lanka at the International Trade Workshop in Bloemfontein Free State, South Africa on 18 February 2020.
The Workshop was organized by the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) in South Afrca to meet the Provincial SME sector entrepreneurs and make them aware on International Markets and opportunities to link up with foreign countries.
The Workshop was attended by more than 80 business leaders in Free State and expressed their gratitude to Sri Lanka High Commission for coming and making them aware of the opportunities in Sri Lanka as they were not aware much on Sri Lanka.
At the end of the Presentation, the Actg. High Commissioner Hewarathna requested the gathering if there is any queries to contact the High Commission and thanked the authorities of SEDA for facilitation of her visit to Free State.
SEDA authorities expressed their willingness to send a Trade Delegation to Sri Lanka in 2020 to explore more opportunities. The High Commission will follow up the matter with relevant authorities in Sri Lanka once the date is finalized by the South African Authorities.
