Mayor of Colombo, Vraie Cally Balthazaar, who is visiting Australia from 21 to 29 March 2026 under the Special Visits Program of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia delivered remarks on Women in Leadership to a group of Ambassadors and High Commissioners and several members of the Sri Lankan community, at a lunch at the Sri Lanka High Commission in Canberra on 26 March 2026.
The Mayor’s visit to Australia included engagements with parliamentarians, mayors, senior officials, think tanks and cultural institutions in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.
