The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Thailand participated in Kaset Fair 2025, organized by Kasetsart University from 31 January to 08 February 2025 at the university premises.
The fair, a prominent annual event in Thailand, featured a diverse array of agricultural innovations, food products, and research exhibitions, and attracted thousands of visitors.
Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana presided over the grand opening ceremony which brought together exhibitors and vendors from across Thailand and beyond.
As a special gesture of cultural exchange, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe presented a traditional batik painting depicting the Kandy Esala Perahera to the Princess, symbolizing Sri Lanka’s deep-rooted cultural heritage and the enduring friendship between the two nations.
The stall of the Embassy of Sri Lanka showcased the country’s world renowned Ceylon tea, Ceylon cinnamon and vibrant batik products, drawing significant attention from visitors interested in Sri Lanka’s unique exports. The exhibition provided an excellent platform to promote Sri Lanka’s rich cultural and agricultural heritage.
The Embassy's participation at Kaset Fair 2025 reiterated Sri Lanka’s commitment to strengthening trade, cultural and people-to-people ties with Thailand, further fostering economic cooperation between the two nations.
