The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Ottawa participated in the Embassy Fair organized by the University of Ottawa Students' Union (UOSU), on 27 November 2024. The event provided a platform to connect with international and local students of the University and to promote Sri Lanka's rich cultural heritage.
The High Commission's booth featured an array of Sri Lankan products, including premium Ceylon tea, intricately handcrafted goods, vibrant batik clothing, and tourism promotional materials, attracting over 300 students.
The participants also savored Sri Lanka’s culinary delights, traditional Sri Lankan tea, biscuits, and other specialties.
The High Commission also showcased Sri Lanka's unique blend of tourism offerings that feature pristine beaches, wild life, heritage and hospitality, capturing the interest and boosting the curiosity of the participants about Sri Lanka.
The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Ottawa stood out as the only foreign Mission that took part in the Fair and was appreciated by the University of Ottawa for its presence in the event.
