The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Thailand participated in the 69th YWCA (Young Women’s Christian Association) Diplomatic Charity Bazaar, held from 07 to 10 November 2024 at Central World, Bangkok.
Showcasing the authentic Sri Lankan craftsmanship and premium products, the Embassy highlighted handicrafts from the National Crafts Council, Ceylon cinnamon from Excellensa Impex Pvt Ltd, and Ceylon tea from K Square Lanka Pvt Ltd. The exhibition attracted significant interest, and several authentic Sri Lankan products were promoted on local TV channels. Interviews with Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe were conducted by YWCA Bangkok and a well-known Thai lifestyle YouTuber, further enhancing awareness on Sri Lankan culture and exports.
The Embassy’s participation in the event underscored Sri Lanka's commitment to fostering cultural and trade ties with Thailand while supporting the charitable initiatives of the YWCA.
