On 19.06.2023, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Jordan, J.A.D.S. Priyangika Wijegunasekara met with the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research of Jordan, Azmi Mahafzah at the Ministry premises.
During the meeting, both sides discussed mechanisms for enhancing existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education, especially exchanging academic expertise.
Ambassador Wijegunasekara stated that exchanges and cooperation in the field of education play an important role in promoting the comprehensive and healthy development of bilateral relations, and Sri Lanka is ready to support exchanges and cooperation with Jordan in areas of common interest.
Minister Azmi Mahafzah spoke positively of Sri Lanka’s achievements in education and expressed his aspiration for more ways to enhance possible cooperation between the two countries.
