As a part of the Public Diplomacy Community Outreach Program, on Sunday 29 August 2021, the Embassy of Sri Lanka to Lebanon & Syria, commemorated Nikini Poya by hosting a Dhamma discourse titled “Life and Buddhism” by the President of the Rataviru Foundation Rev. Athuraliye Rathana Thero via zoom at the Embassy premises.
It was attended by the members of the Rataviru Foundation and Rathnadeepa International Migration Board of which members are the Sri Lankan migrant community. Members of the Lebanese Muslims and Catholic communities also attended.
