The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jordan celebrated Vesak at the Chancery with the Sri Lankan community in attendance, adhering to the Covid 19 health protocols and regulations of the Host government. A Heel Dana was organised by the Ambassador and staff of the Embassy to the devotees who were present.
The Chancery was illuminated with lights, Vesak lanterns made by the Staff and Buddhist flags. Preceding the event, Ambassador Dissanayake visited the Detention centres to gift dry rations and hygiene packs to the Sri Lankan detainees on the occasion of Vesak.
