The Deputy High Commission of Sri Lanka in India organized a “Bodhi Pooja” event, on the occasion of the Vesak full moon poya day, at the Chancery premises on 26 May 2021. The event was organized under the guidance of the Deputy High Commissioner Dr. D Venkateshvaran.
Following the “Bodhi Pooja”, the Hon. Prime Minister’s Vesak Day Message was screened.
The staff and their family members only were able to participate at the event, due to the restrictions imposed by the Indian Government in order to prevent the spreading of Covid-19.
The premises was decorated with Buddhist flags, clay lamps, colorful bulbs and vesak lanterns.
