The Sri Lanka Embassy in Tokyo invited Venerable Mawarale Bhaddiya Thero for Vesak Day Dhamma Sermon organized by the Embassy. It was conducted at the Embassy premises on 28 May 2021 which was attended by the Ambassador, all staff members and their families. Due to the COVID 19 guidelines most of the Sri Lankan Associations in Japan were represented their respective President or office bearers.
Giving priority to religious observances, after offering flowers to Lord Buddha, the Ambassador invited Venerable Bhaddiya thero to conduct the Dhamma sermon. This Dhamma Sermon was broadcasted through the Mission official Facebook live and over 2300 devotees had participated in this meritorious event.
Keeping Sri Lankan traditions and value to the Vesak ceremony, the chancery was decorated and enlightened with the Vesak lanterns.
