The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai in collaboration with the India Business Group (IBG), organized the Indo-Sri Lanka Convention for 100-150 IBG members at Jio World Drive, Mumbai. IBG is a Trade Council and Chamber of Commerce dedicated to mentoring and supporting Indian businesses to grow into global corporations.
The event aimed at exploring new opportunities for collaboration and enhancing business connections through key insights into Sri Lanka. It commenced with a panel discussion on Sri Lanka’s trade, business, and economy, featuring President of the India Business Group Vikash Mittersain, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai Dr. Valsan Vethody and Minister-Commercial of the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai Shirani Ariyarathne.
The main focus of the discussion was on Sri Lanka's start-up ecosystem, investment opportunities, and the ease of doing business in the country. Following the panel session, Dr. Vethody engaged in an in-depth interaction with the attendees, addressing their queries on various aspects of Sri Lanka.
