Marking the 78th National Independence Day of Sri Lanka, the Embassy together with Lion Beer Company Ltd and the Elephant House Beverages promoted a range of authentic Sri Lankan beverages including Lion Beer and Elephant House soft drinks were promoted at the Diplomatic Reception held on 5th February 2026 at St. Regis Beijing.
The promotion was carried out with the aim of positioning Sri Lankan product among the Diplomatic Corps, Chinese Government officials and corporate sector leaders in Beijing.
The Lion Brewery is a flagship brand first penetrated into the Chinese market and has established a sought-after taste among beer lovers. Elephant House brands have recently been introduced to the Chinese lucrative market and has a great potential in the flavoured carbonated soft drinks market.
