The staff of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Oman, assuring their commitment to implement public policies and goals, took the oath of allegiance to public service, at a ceremony to commence the work year, held at the Embassy premises on 01 January 2020.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Oman O.L Ameerajwad, followed by singing of the National Anthem.Thereafter, two minutes silence was observed to commemorate war heroes and all those who sacrificed their lives on behalf of the Motherland.
Addressing the Embassy staff, Ambassador Ameerajwad reiterated the vision expressed by the President of Sri Lanka in his New Year Message and emphasized the need to work as a team to achieve the targets entrusted to the Mission with commitment and dedication.
Concluding the official ceremony, the Ambassador wished the staff a happy and prosperous New Year.
