The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Muscat launched its new official Website www.oman.embassy.gov.lk during the Deepavali Celebrations held at the Ambassador's Residence on 25 November 2023.
This new website intends to provide the Embassy stakeholders and the public with an user-friendly interface to browse the Embassy’s services and functions. It also allows the visitors to browse information on visiting and doing business with Sri Lanka on their own.
The new website gives better access to services; Consular and Labour Welfare, Economy; Trade, Investment and Tourism, Events and media, and News web pages. It provides information on consular services provided by the Embassy and information related to labour welfare facilities offered by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment.
The Event & Media section of the website highlights the events, meetings, and media releases, outlining the services and activities carried out by the Embassy for the community. Amongst the new features, the site contains integrated social media buttons for the Embassy’s official Facebook and X pages to foster improved communication with the community. In the Latest News section, articles, news updates, announcements, upcoming events procurement notices and other helpful information will be constantly updated. ‘Visit Sri Lanka’ short videos are embedded on the homepage promoting Sri Lanka tourism.
The QR Code for the Registration of Membership at the Sri Lanka Business Council Initiative in Oman is published in the Latest Updates section, assisting the growth of the Business Council Initiative aiming to promote Sri Lankan businesses in Oman in the coming days.
