The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin promoted Sri Lanka as a destination for tourism, trade and investment by showcasing the natural scenic beauty, distinctive diversity and rich cultural heritage of Sri Lanka at the event ``Open Day`` under the slogan of ``Future Charter – One World, One Responsibility`` organised by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of Germany on 31st August 2014.

The event provided an opportunity to the German public to obtain comprehensive information on Sri Lanka’s touristic places of interest, as well as business and investment opportunities.

At the Sri Lanka stall, artefacts, handicrafts and samples of Sri Lankan cinnamon and tea were on display. Visitors were able to taste a cup of pure Ceylon Tea and even take a pack of tea home for a unique Ceylon Tea experience.
