Sri Lanka’s Ambassador, Dharshana M. Perera called on H.E. Dr. H. Ade Komarudin, MH, the Speaker of the House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat) of the Republic of Indonesia on Wednesday, 21st September 2016, NUSANTARA II of the Parliament Building of Indonesia in Jakarta. During the discussion, ways and means of expanding the strengthen relations including between the Legislatures of Indonesia and Sri Lanka were discussed. Among the initiatives considered are the exchange of visits of the Speakers, establishment and intensification of interactions between the Indonesia- Sri Lanka Parliamentary Friendship Groups and with the Commission-I which is responsible for foreign policy, defence, security and media of the Indonesian Parliament. The Speaker was accompanied by Vice Speaker, Mr. Fahri Hamzah, and other senior Parliamentary Officials.
