The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Belgium celebrated the 77th Independence Day of Sri Lanka with the participation of Sri Lankan community on 04 February 2025.
Having conducted all traditional and customary proceedings at the ceremony, the event had also been added value by including a thematic presentation on ‘Clean Sri Lanka Porgramme’ under the government’s aspiration towards a National Renaissance.
Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Belgium Chandana Weerasena, in his address, briefed the new government’s vision and the Clean Sri Lanka Programme. He also requested Sri Lankan community to be stakeholders in this noble exercise for the betterment of the country.
The participants were served with traditional Sri Lankan dinner and Ceylon tea.
