The Consul General of Sri Lanka in Karachi Jagath Abeywarna paid a visit to the Pakistan Fruit & Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchants Association (PFVA), where he engaged in discussions with Chairman Aslam Pakhali and senior members of the association.
The meeting was further enriched by the participation of representatives from both Pakistan and Sri Lanka, who joined the session virtually.
Discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, with a particular focus on expanding trade collaboration within the agriculture sector. The Consul General requested the PFVA’s assistance in securing approvals from Pakistani authorities, aimed at facilitating an efficient import process for Sri Lankan agricultural products by Pakistani importers.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen bilateral trade relations and explore new avenues for cooperation in the agriculture sector.
