A 10-member SME business delegation from the Sri Lanka Export Development Board(EDB) was in Mumbai from 26 September – 02 October 2018 to visit the “Annapoorna - World Food of India 2018”, organized by Koelnmesse YA Tradefair Pvt. Ltd.from 27-29 September 2018 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
The business delegation, comprising export-ready SME enterprises of the food &beverages industry and a representative from EDB, had several B2B meetings at the exhibition. The meetings were arranged by the Sri Lanka Consulate General in Mumbai.
LYBS Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Green Palm Mills, Mellow Food Products, Min Agro Herbal, Dhawalagiri Products, S & N Products, Chutiduwa Livestock (Pvt) Ltd, Maliduwa Kithul Nishpadana, Akalanka Products and Bio In One (Pvt) Ltd, producing tea & coffee, cinnamon, pepper, coconut products, processed meat, dehydrated fruits & vegetables, kitul syrup and jaggery were in the delegation.
Meetings were also arranged with the leading super market chains such as Godrej Natures’ Basket, Star Bazaar and Reliance Fresh to explore business opportunities in Mumbai.
The processed food & beverages and spices & concentrates are two of the six priority sectors identified for innovation and export diversification under the National Export Strategy of Sri Lanka.
The visit was organized by the Sri Lanka Consulate General in Mumbai.
