The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) in collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Shanghai organized a Sri Lanka tourism promotional roadshow in Westin Hotel, Nanjing City on 22 and 23 April 2024.
The event was attended by the officials of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, representatives of fifteen Sri Lankan travel companies, Chinese travel agents and other Chinese stakeholders. At the opening ceremony, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Shanghai Anura Fernando delivered a speech welcoming the audience. Managing Director of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Nalin Perera and officials of the SLTPB also spoke promoting Sri Lanka tourism and introducing attractive tour and hotel packages.
A troupe of Sri Lankan traditional dancers entertained the audience with classic and modern dancing performances. The event facilitated many business-to-business meetings between travel and tourism agents and companies from both countries with a view to increasing the inflow of tourists to Sri Lanka.
