The members of the Projeckt Fotografia, a project on photography in Poland that involved professional photographers and individuals who capture wildlife and landscape have travelled to Sri Lanka to photograph for the “Sri Lanka Jungle” competition. The competition was held in collaboration with Sri Lanka Tourism with a view to promoting Sri Lanka as a tourist destination to Polish travelers.
The participants of the competition also exhibited their photographs at a photographic exhibition in Warsaw which was inaugurated by the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Poland, Priyangika Dharmasena. The Ambassador presented awards to the two winners who had depicted Sri Lanka with an array of beautiful pictures of culture, history and the rustic beauty of the country. A crowd of spectators attended the ceremony and a short film related to tourism was also screened.
