Sri Lanka proudly marked its third consecutive participation at the world-renowned Venice Carnival 2026, further strengthening its cultural presence on one of the most prestigious international cultural platforms. Organized by the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Milan, Sri Lanka’s participation once again captivated global audiences with a vibrant showcase of traditional dance, music and costumes, presented by talented members of the Sri Lankan expatriate community in Italy.

Sri Lanka’s continued presence at the Venice Carnival for the third year in succession reflects the country’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and international engagement, while also highlighting the vital role played by the Sri Lankan expatriates in promoting national heritage abroad.

Sri Lanka’s participation at the Venice Carnival 2026 was widely recognized as a colourful and memorable contribution to the festival, reinforcing the island’s image as a country rich in culture, creativity and tradition, and further strengthening cultural ties between Sri Lanka and Italy.
