Poson Poya was celebrated on 02 June 2023 at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jordan in collaboration with the Sri Lankan community marking the historical arrival of Arahat Mahinda Thera to the Motherland.
The celebrations commenced with the Ata Sil Observation programme. The recorded Buddha Sermon and Pirith were broadcasted during the Sil program. The Buddha Pooja and alms-giving for Ata Sil observers were organized by the Sri Lankan community in Jordan.
The Gilanpasa Pooja ceremony was held in the evening, with a brief explanation of its significance. The Mission was decorated with lanterns and Buddhist flags.
A Dansala was organized by the Sri Lankan community following the Ata Sil program and more than 100 devotees attended the event.
