The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Shanika Dissanayake presented tokens of appreciation to two dedicated teachers of the Sri Lanka School in recognition of their contribution to the teaching and promotion of the Sinhala language and culture in Bahrain.
Rashmi Khushalya Sewwandi was honoured for her remarkable 24 years of service, and Nilakshi Buddhika Dharmawansha was recognized for her dedicated service spanningthree years at the Sri Lanka School.
Ambassador Shanika Dissanayake, together with members of the Embassy staff, expressed appreciation for their commitment and service to the Sri Lankan community in Bahrain, noting their role in nurturing the Sinhala language, culture, and heritage among younger generations.
On behalf of the Embassy and the Sri Lankan community in Bahrain, the Ambassador extended best wishes to both teachers as they return to Sri Lanka.
