Sri Lanka Ambassador to Myanmar attends the Wreath Laying Ceremony to mark the 76th Anniversary of Martyrs’ Day of Myanmar

The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar, Janaka Bandara attended the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Yangon, to mark the 76th Anniversary of Martyrs’ Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on 19 July 2023.

Opening the ceremony, U Aung San Oo, the elder son of Martyr national leader General Aung San, and families of the other Martyr leaders as well as the representatives laid wreaths at the Mausoleum to pay their tribute.

Following this, the Deputy Prime Minister of Myanmar Admiral Tin Aung San, high dignitaries of the Myanmar Government, and the Diplomats of the Foreign Missions in Myanmar laid wreaths at the Mausoleum to pay tribute.

The flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was lowered to half-mast and the Guard of Honour and the bugle troops observed a two-minute silence.

The event was attended by a large gathering.
