His Excellency General Shantha Kottegoda, Ambassador for Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Thailand called on Her Excellency Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand on 24th February 2012 at the latter’s office in the Government House.
His Excellency the Ambassador for Sri Lanka was accompanied by Mr. Neville de Silva, Minister & Deputy Chief of Mission and Mr. Niluka Kadurugamuwa, First Secretary.
Ambassador Kottegoda conveyed to the Thai Premier the best wishes of His Excellency President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Government and people of Sri Lanka on her election to office and for her continued success.
Prime Minister Shinawatra thanked Sri Lanka, the Government and its people for the flood relief assistance provided during the devastating floods last year in Thailand.
Issues of mutual interest pertaining to both bilateral and multilateral cooperation were also discussed.
