The 12th Bali Democracy Forum took place in Bali, Indonesia from 5-6 December 2019.
The BDF was established in 2008 to create a progressive democratic architecture in the Asia-Pacific region. Sri Lanka is one of 45 participating countries. There were 49 Observers this year and 7 International Organizations.
Sri Lanka was represented by Ambassador to Indonesia and ASEAN, Yasoja Gunasekera.
A Youth Forum was held as part of the BDF. Software engineer Pramodya Abeysinghe represented Sri Lanka at this Forum.
