During his recent official visit to India, Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade, Malik Samarawickrama met the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry of India, Piyush Goyal and conveyed his best wishes on being re-appointed as a Cabinet Minister.
During the meeting, the two Ministers held constructive discussions covering a wide range of issues aimed at further strengthening ties in the areas of trade and investment between the two countries.
Sri Lanka's High Commissioner to India Austin Fernando, Chairman Sri Lanka Board of Investment Mangala Yapa and Minister (Commercial) of the Sri Lanka High Commission Upekkha Samaratunga also participated in the meeting.
