Consul General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai Dr Valsan Vethody and Consul (Commercial) Shirani Ariyarathne engaged in an interactive session with the President and other members of the India Business Group (“IBG”), Mumbai recently.
IBG is a Trade Council & Chamber of Commerce, focused on mentoring and supporting Indian businesses to help them grow into global corporations.
The session served as a pivotal platform for the IBG members for gaining valuable insights into the business landscape of Sri Lanka.
The discussion delved into exploring various opportunities present within Sri Lanka's economic ecosystem such as Port City. Through this interactive exchange, IBG members were able to get first-hand knowledge and information about the emerging trends, investment prospects, and potential areas for collaboration in the country and also highlighted key aspects of the business environment, regulatory frameworks, and government initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth and international partnerships.
As part of Cinnamon promotion in Mumbai, each member of IBG was gifted pouches of Ceylon Cinnamon and the Consul General explained about the authenticity of Ceylon Cinnamon.
