Jeddah Chamber of Commerce receives Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Saudi Arabia Ameer Ajwad

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ameer Ajwad was received by the Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, Mohammed Yousef Naghi together with the Secretary General of the Chamber, Ramez M. Al – Ghalib, at the Chamber Headquarters in Jeddah on 28 November 2024.

While welcoming the Ambassador to the Kingdom, Chairman Yousef Naghi offered to extend support for B2B interactions between the private sectors of both countries. Ambassador Ameer Ajwad appreciated the cooperation extended by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce over the years and proposed organizing trade and investment forums for private sector interactions in the areas of mutual interest, with a view to enhancing awareness of the opportunities available for private sector cooperation in both countries. Both sides agreed to work closely towards win-win benefits.

The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce is the first Chamber in Saudi Arabia as well as in the GCC, which celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2023. The Chamber has more than 170,000 members and focuses on seven sectors: trade & retail; logistics; health; education; industry; tourism and culture and urban development.

Head of Government Relations Department of the Jeddah Chamber, Sultan Al - Hamid and the Head of Chancery of the Consulate of Sri Lanka in Jeddah, Mafusa Lafir were present at the meeting.
