High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Kenya, Sunil De Silva presented credentials to President Paul Kagame of Rwanda on 22 February 2019 at the President’s Office in Kigali as the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Rwanda with residence in Nairobi.
High Commissioner De Silva conveyed greetings and best wishes of President Maithripala Sirisena to the President of Rwanda and assured of continuous close cooperation bilaterally and at various international fora.
President Kagame, while appreciating the support extended by Sri Lanka, recalled fondly meeting President Sirisena at several international forums and exchanging views on areas of common interest. During discussion, President Kagame also appreciated the successful implementation of the MOU signed between the two countries on Defence and Security Cooperation.
During his visit, the High Commissioner also met the Foreign Minister of Rwanda, Dr. Richards Sezibera.
