The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Maldives M. Rizvi Hassen paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Maldives Abdul Raheem Abdulla at the People's Majlis (Parliament of Maldives) on 29 October 2025.
The High Commissioner and the Speaker shared views on further strengthening the friendly relations between Sri Lanka and Maldives. The discussion also focused on advancing the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries mainly through partnerships between the parliamentary friendship groups and bilateral visits.
