In commemoration of Vesak, the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Male organized a virtual Dhamma Sermon on 23 May 2024. A significant number of Sri Lankans residing in Maldives joined the Dhamma Sermon online.
Venerable Valgama Sumana Thero of Sri Pagnodaya Maha Vihara delivered the Dhamma sermon shedding light on the profound teachings of Lord Buddha on wisdom and inner strength. The sermon emphasized the relevance of the teachings of the Buddha in promoting global peace and harmony.
The commemoration served as a poignant reminder of the timeless wisdom that Lord Buddha imparted and its ability to bring about positive change in the society.
The Staff of the High Commission and their family members actively participated in organizing the event.
