Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office (Guangzhou FAO) hosted a lunch for Sri Lanka Consul General in Guangzhou, Priyangika Dharmasena on 02 September 2019.
The Consul General met with the Director General of Guangzhou FAO, Liu Baochun and the Director, Liu Liu during the luncheon meeting where mutual cooperation between the two sides was discussed.
The Consul General appreciated the support extended by the government authorities in Guangzhou in carrying out the varied activities of the Consulate. She briefed the Director General about the expositions and other activities that Sri Lanka participated in and urged for further collaboration.
Both sides agreed that sister city relations should be further strengthened and accelerated between the two countries. The Director General briefed the Consul General on impending events and activities organized by Guangzhou city with its sister cities. Both sides highlighted that the existing relations between Guangzhou city and Hambantota will further progress, for the benefit of the two countries.
